Producer - James M Vernon
Veteran industry producer James M. Vernon is the leading Producer overseeing the production and ensuring the production is focused on achieving an internationally saleable product for a worldwide audience, as well as ensuring that all the Conditions Precedent are met prior to any Capital Investment being cash-flowed. Mr. Vernon’s recent credits include the 2017 Academy Award-winning film “Hacksaw Ridge” starring Andrew Garfield, “The King’s Daughter” starring Pierce Brosnan, and, more recently, “In Like Flynn” starring Thomas Cocquerel, based on Errol Flynn’s book “Beam Ends”. James Vernon is the Managing Director of established industry financier; Media Funds Management and production company Screen Corporation.
Producer - Jim Robison
Jim’s recent Executive Producer credits include “Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan”, starring Travis Fimmel, Luke Bracey and Richard Roxburgh. After studying a bachelor of Commerce at Newcastle University, and four years in the Australian Military, Jim went into the film industry and has since worked on numerous productions spanning independent feature films, short films, TVC’s and TV series, before moving on to studio blockbuster feature films including various below the line roles on "Hacksaw Ridge", "The Great Gatsby" and "Mad Max: Fury Road". Jim has assisted in financing over $40M AUD in private and debt equity and has produced theatrical features films sold into over 50 territories worldwide. He has worked with Oscar winning film professionals and his work has been nominated at film festivals both domestically and internationally. Jim is an active member of the Australian Film Institute and Screen Producers Association of Australia.
Military Consultant - Brigadier Mick Moon (Rtd) AM. DSC.
Brigadier Michael Moon, DSC, AM (Rtd) (past Commandant, Royal Military College of Australia and Commander of Australian Forces in the Middle East) is the Senior Military Consultant on the project, a military historian in his own right and a subject matter expert on the life and command of General Sir John Monash. Brigadier Moon has had a military career spanning approximately four decades and in 2006, he deployed as the Commander of Joint Task Force 633. In this appointment he was the National Commander for all ADF operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and the broader Middle East Area of Operations (MEAO). For this operational tour he received a Member of the Order of Australia (AM). In January 2007, he assumed duty as the Chief of Staff, Land Headquarters.
Script Writer - Marc Furmie
Marc graduated from the UNSW College of Fine Arts. In Los Angeles, he is represented by Epicenter & Abrams Artist Agency. Marc has directed TV Commercials for many Fortune 500 brands and his first feature film “Terminus”, sold to Vertical Entertainment in the USA whilst his extensive music video work has earned him ARIA nominations. Marc was selected by the Australian Film Commission to create “Death’s Requiem”, which screened at over 20 International Film Festivals scooping an array of awards. He was also awarded the Emerging Filmmakers Fund from Screen NSW for the film "Dark Horse", which went on to showcase at over 25 international festivals and also received multiple awards. Marc was commissioned to write about the true story of the Bali 9 and he has written two more feature films (both biographies) including the highly acclaimed screenplays; "Saving Kings” based on Martin Luther King and “In Like Flynn” based on the life of Errol Flynn. Marc was recently commissioned by Chris Hemsworth’s company “Thematic Entertainment” by Hemsworth’s producing partner Benjamin Grayson to write a new confidential project.
Investment Broker / Executive Producer - Gabriel Carey. MBA Exec / B.Eng / DFP
Gabriel has over 17 years experience in the financial services industry specialising in developing, structuring and distributing financial products. Gabriel has a Civil Engineering degree with Honours from ADFA and a MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management. Prior to his career in finance, he enjoyed a 10 year career as an officer in the Royal Australian Air Force where he held numerous command postings on multiple international deployments. He established Macquarie Melbourne based Funds Management Group, was a founder and Head of Distribution for Australia's largest Structured Investment Provider and Director of a Private Equity Fund, which saw him raise over $1 billion AUD in Capital Equity over a 10year period. Gabriel now runs his own Private Advisory firm dedicated to assisting HNWI's and Sophisticated investors and specialises in entity structuring, equity investment and associated risk management.
Executive Producer - Lieutenant Colonel Wayne Higgins, RFD
Wayne joined the Royal Australian Armoured Corps in 1973 and rose through the ranks to command the 1st/15th Royal New South Wales Lancers. Still serving as a Lieutenant Colonel and managing operational honours and awards in Joint Operations Command, Wayne has broad experience across the Australian Defence Force and assists the planning and execution of major national and international Defence exercises. Wayne is also the Founding Principal and Managing Director of the Australian Defence Consultancy Group, a private company that provides strategic, operational and tactical level services to Defence related organisations and Defence Industry, employing Consultants who are predominantly from a Defence background and have worked in both uniform and commercial roles across a range of Defence and industry sectors. Wayne will support the making of the Monash movie by providing military expertise in the role of Director of Operations; providing project management, business, logistic and operational support to the production.
Executive Producer - Lieutenant Colonel Chris Monsour, Chairman - MMPC Pty Ltd
Chris has over 25 years experience in the legal and IT&T industry specialising in information technology and telecommunications, international business, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. He currently holds the position of Vice President and General Counsel Asia Pacific of an international US Fortune 500 Company, being Diebold Nixdorf Inc. and is also an active Army Reserve Officer holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel with over 27 years service. Chris has held numerous command positions in the Army including the Commanding Officer of 1st/15th Royal New South Wales Lancers as a member of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. Chris holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Masters of Laws, admissions as a barrister and solicitor in Australia and as a solicitor in the United Kingdom has recently completed an MBA.
